I know we may be short on all the ecofriendly materials we can use and utilized at home, this why we wanted to make an entire note and blog for such an important subject.
ECO-FRIENDLY MATERIALS
Using ecofriendly materials is caring for your family. Using materials that are non-toxic on surfaces and thru out the home is helping them keep healthy and strong.
Let's keep in mind that building materials can have many harmful materials not for what they are but for the process of making and many more for the life cycle endings.
Below are some ideas where you can start taking into consideration.
Tips to look for healthy homes:
Check for your drywall (stay away from the 90s drywall)
Paint. use non-toxic paint
Carpets and decorative fabrics. Stay natural and less chemical processes as possible.
use energy and water-saving appliances and fixtures.
Countertops. Always use non-chemical processed countertops this way whatever you put on top will not array the density and chemical materials used thru the making process and if you want to go far more, look for recycled materials or materials that could be recycled once the life cycle if done with you.
When it comes to countertops or surfaces for sinks, kitchens, and bathtubs these materials can be sustainable as well. Ecofriendly and recycle materials are very in these days and they are even more durable than the real stone products, and Yes, its a combination of all. When are they eco-friendly and sustainable? easy, when their production line is nontoxic, either to us or the planet, and when the material they use is recycled or has any life cycle worthy of reuse.
There are a lot of modern and unique surfaces that we can use, even recycle polyester; so consider all your options before installing a new surface for your kitchen, we can add some value to the property and something good for our planet!
